DIRECTIONS
 
Before using, read Package Insert for complete directions.

Step 1: Apply RID Pure Alternative

  • With child sitting upright, apply RID Pure Alternative to DRY hair only. Massage until hair and scalp are thoroughly wet with product. Pay special attention to the areas behind the ears and at the nape of the neck where lice, eggs, and nits are more likely to be found.
  • When finished applying RID Pure Alternative, wait 10 minutes before combing out lice, eggs and nits.
Step 2: Comb Out Lice, Eggs, and Nits
  • This step is very important. Combing out lice, eggs and nits is essential for complete lice elimination.
  • While hair and scalp are thoroughly wet with product, comb out lice, eggs and nits with the enclosed RID comb (see package insert for detailed combing instructions).
  • After you have combed entire head, wash hair thoroughly with regular shampoo and warm water.
  • Reinspect scalp and hair each day for lice, eggs and nits for 10 days. If lice, eggs or nits are seen you may repeat STEPS 1 and 2 at any time.
Step 3: Clean Home/Prevent Reinfestation
  • Inspect all other family members daily for at least two weeks and use RID Pure Alternative to treat those infested.
  • To help prevent reinfestation, wash all clothing, bedding, and towels used by infested persons in hot water (above 130 F). Dry items in highest heat for at least 20 minutes. Dry clean non-washable items.
  • Disinfect hair products such as combs, brushes, and hair accessories by soaking in hot, soapy water (above 130 F) for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Place stuffed toys in plastic bags and seal for 2 weeks.
  • Vacuum rugs and carpets thoroughly. Dispose of vacuum cleaner bags immediately after use.

WARNINGS
 
For external use only. Keep out of the reach of children.

Avoid contact with eyes.

Accidental spills or drips of this product on floors or other smooth surfaces can makes these areas very slippery. Clean up spills or drips immediately with soap and water and dry thoroughly to avoid injury from slips and falls.
